Welcome to Skyrim
The High King of Skyrim has been murdered. Alliances form as claims to the throne are made. In the midst of this conflict, a far more dangerous, ancient evil is awakened.
Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned and the future of Skyrim hangs in the balance.
As Dragonborn, the prophesized hero born with the power of The Voice, you are the only one who can stand amongst them.
Just be yourself. Or an Orc.
You’re the hero of this story, and the choices you make will dynamically change the game.
Your first big choice is creating your character.
Dunmer (Dark Elves)
Altmer (High Elves)
Bosmer (Wood Elves)
Reptilian folk with a high disease resistance and the ability to breathe underwater. Their sneaking skills make them proficient thieves.
Descended from both humans and elves, Bretons have a natural affinity for magic and make excellent mages.
These red-eyed elves are noted for their stealth and magic skills, with natural fire resistance.
Tall and golden-skinned, high elves are the most naturally gifted in the arcane arts of all the races.
Well-educated and shrewd, Imperials are excellent diplomats and traders.
Cat-like Khajiit are intelligent, quick, and agile. They also have claws that make them formidable with or without weapons.
Strong and hardy natives of Skyrim who appreciate a good fight and don’t let the cold slow them down.
Powerful warriors who excel at crafting armor and weapons—and dealing a lot of damage.
Naturally talented with blades and shields, Redguards are naturally resistant to poison and also get a stamina boost so they can stay in the fight.
These nimble elves are known for their archery skills and ability to command creatures.
While each race has its own strengths and abilities, it’s the way you play that will shape your character’s skills.
